District C Teamship. Students will be immersed in a problem-solving cycle for a local business. With approximately 140,000 students, the WCPSS is the largest system. During that time, North Carolina schools found themselves in a state of flux, thanks to a Supreme Court. The district was formed as a result of a merger between the Wake County school system and Raleigh Public Schools. In partnership with local home and commercial builders, students will have the opportunity to visit sites and see construction at various stages and the types of jobs performed. K-12 public schools in Apex are part of the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS). Wake County Public Schools is one of the more recently formed school districts in the country, dating back to just 1976. This condensed summer opportunity will provide an opportunity for intensive design and modeling in architecture, construction, and engineering. This two-week experience will support students who have already engaged in coursework but will return for more advanced learning to support mastering their credential. Targeted industry sectors include: agribusiness, healthcare, information technology and hospitality. Along with community partners, students will engage in short-term work-based learning at partner sites to see how their career interest is operationalized in different settings. This program will provide students in grades 10-12 with the opportunity to engage in more specialized programs with industry partners, credentials, etc. Students who have questions should contact their school counselor. The purpose of this program is to support students in staying on track for promotion and/or graduation. The high school credit recovery program provides students who have failed courses in the 2021-2022 school year with an opportunity to recover those credits. Once claimed, use these credentials to log into the WakeID Portal at Use the WakeID Portal to access multiple WCPSS provided applications such as Google and Canvas. Students in second and third grade in 2021-2022 who meet the selection criteria are invited to participate. Prior to logging in, all staff must claim their WakeID. 
The goal of the Read to Achieve program is to ensure that every student reads at grade level by the end of third grade.
